Job Description
Fuel Oil Delivery Driver / Tri-Axle Driver Ed’s Garage, Inc. Canterbury, CT 06331 This unique position includes heating oil delivery during the fall and winter months and dump truck driving and plant operation in our sand and gravel division during the spring and summer.
Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently deliver heating oil to residential and commercial customers (CDL with Hazmat required) during heating season Operate a tri-axle dump truck to deliver materials to customers and job sites during Spring and Summer months Assist in daily operations of our sand & gravel plant (equipment operation, loading trucks, etc.) Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries Inspect vehicle for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving Provide excellent customer service by interacting with customers in a professional and courteous manner
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record CT CDL Class A or B with Hazmat Endorsement Proficient in driving vehicles with manual transmissions Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance is desired Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, pull heating oil hose and perform physical labor as needed Strong attention to detail and time management skills Ability to operate different types of delivery vehicles, such as flatbeds, dump trucks, tankers, etc. is a plus
