In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and a strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Responsibilities Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment, such as pallet jacks, while adhering to safety protocols. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance. Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates on delivery status and address any inquiries or concerns. Handle heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery receipts. Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient loading processes and timely dispatching of goods. Experience Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices is a plus. Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients and customers. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and moving items safely in various environments. Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is beneficial but not required. Valid Driver’s License is a MUST. Experience with Builder Trend a plus.
