Delivery Driver/Mover New Direction Employment Services Savannah, GA 31405 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Mover/Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods and assisting with moving services for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, have experience with heavy lifting, and be comfortable operating various types of vehicles, including box trucks and vans. Your ability to work efficiently and safely while providing excellent service will be key to your success in this position. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks and vans to transport goods to various locations. Assist in loading and unloading items, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Utilize equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks for efficient movement of heavy items. Provide exceptional customer service during all interactions with clients. Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and warehouse environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely deliveries and successful moving operations. Complete necessary paperwork related to deliveries and inventory management. Skills Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Experience operating box trucks and vans for delivery or moving purposes. Familiarity with warehouse operations, including the use of forklifts and pallet jacks. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the workday. Previous experience as a delivery driver or mover is a plus. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
