Marietta, GA Job Details Full-time $21 – $25 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off 401(k) matching Qualifications 5 years Mid-level 3 years Driver’s License Driving Commercial driving Delivery driver experience Full Job Description The duties of a local delivery driver include: Pulling, loading, and securing processed & stock orders on delivery trucks, Routing deliveries to insure optimum use of time, Manually unloading truck, Vehicle maintenance, Manually unload truck by pushing material off the side weighing 100 – 200 lbs, Be able to accurately use company supplied phone with navigation and tracking without assistance, and Make other deliveries and/or pickups as directed. The amount of driving will vary, but averages approximately 100 miles per day. The applicant must have a valid Class “C” Georgia driver’s license with a good driving history of no more than three (3) points in the past five (5) years. The primary purpose of this position is driving. However, when no deliveries are required, the person will fulfill the duties of a Shop Associate at our facility described below: The duties of a Shop Associate includes the gathering of materials from work orders by using proper material identification, measuring with a standard measuring tape to the 1/16th of an inch, and processing materials. The processing methods include shearing, punching, torching, band saw cutting, welding, as well as others. There is a critical component of quickly and accurately completing order cut logs detailing materials utilized for each order. This job requires lifting materials that weigh in the neighborhood of 75-100 pounds. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00pm. Report time is 7:50 am. The appropriate attire for this position is dependent on the season, but will consist of blue jeans, leather boots, and gloves. A 30 foot measuring tape and safety glasses are required. We are a drug free company and a drug screening must be passed as well as a DOT physical prior to starting. A certified copy of your current MVR also must be provided prior to starting.
