Route Sales Driver A Jones 2023 Inc. Columbus, GA 31904 Job Overview I am seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join my team as a Bread Route Driver. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. You will be responsible for ordering, selling, and delivering fresh baked products to various accounts along a designated route. Responsibilities Safely operate a delivery vehicle (box truck) to transport goods to designated locations. Manage assigned routes efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients and addressing their needs. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage and product inventory. Perform heavy lifting as required when loading and unloading products. Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Communicate effectively owner regarding route changes or issues. Stock merchandise and build displays Rotate merchandise to avoid out of date products Handle cash reliably and safely until pick up Serve existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts Must be able to keep freshness level above 95% Requirements Proven experience in route driving or commercial driving preferred. Must be able to pass a DOT physical Drug testing is required for DOT approval Reliable transportation to and from work Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. Basic math skills for handling transactions and pricing. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed throughout the day. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and clean criminal background check. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and ability to arrange for repairs when necessary

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Hours:

2:00 AM EST until work is complete (average end time is around 11:00 AM EST)

Compensation:

Starting pay: $900.00 per week. Pay will increase to $1,000.00 after three months, provided you can order products independently. There may be times when additional hours are required to meet delivery demands. Extra pay will be provided for any overtime worked.
