Delivery Driver Horne Food Service Thomasville, GA 31792 Overview We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving, as well as the ability to operate various types of vehicles including vans and box trucks. Duties Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and box trucks, to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload products using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary. Follow assigned delivery routes while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns professionally. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and delivery confirmations. Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization. Experience Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety practices is essential. Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS systems or maps for route planning. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required; commercial driving experience is advantageous.
