POSITION SUMMARY
The Bellegarde Bakery Delivery Driver is responsible for loading and unloading delivery truck as required with the proper items. The Bellegarde Bakery Delivery Driver is responsible for efficiently delivering items to each location per specified orders. Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Follow all laws while operating vehicle and drive defensibly at all times Report to supervisor any accident, road or delivery incident, feedback, or issues with vehicle immediately upon return to the Commissary Load and unload truck as required with proper orders Deliver items to restaurants in an efficient manner according to orders Troubleshoot any interruption to normally scheduled deliveries Follow designated driving routes to all deliveries without any variations except related to uncontrollable traffic issues Pick up all empty reusable containers and return to The Commissary Verify the accurate loading of truck according to orders Gas truck prior to returning to Commissary Responsible for additional unplanned or emergency deliveries as required Obtain Receiver signatures for all deliveries and return completed paperwork to Commissary at the end of the shift Perform daily safety inspection of truck prior and after shift Ensure van is in compliance with all federal and state regulations, ie. Brake tag, insurance, registration Ensure regular maintenance on the van, ie. Oil change, tire pressure, etc. Communicate with other departments as necessary Perform related work and other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years of age Must have a high school diploma or equivalent Ability to read and write in English Must have a valid CDL driver’s license Ability to drive a 16′ truck Must pass a background check with a clean driving record Strong organizational, multi-tasking, time management, follow-up and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment with a customer service orientation Work efficiently with minimal supervision and complete required tasks within assigned timeframe Be flexible and eager to learn new things Must be able to lift, pull, push, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. Must present a well-groomed appearance Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time, bend, stoop, reach, crouch, kneel, lift, push and pull. Must be able to dependably work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends and holidays in accordance with operations and adhere to the attendance requirements of the company Must adhere to the established appearance, hygiene, and dress code guidelines Ability to adhere to and comply with all rules and regulations of the company
