Delivery Driver The Lobster Trap Bourne, MA 02532 Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate delivery vehicles such as vans and box trucks. Duties Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and box trucks, to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit. Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts for efficient loading and unloading of heavy items. Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries. Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safe operating conditions and report any maintenance needs promptly. Requirements Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients. Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the day. Experience operating commercial vehicles, including vans and box trucks. Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures, including the use of pallet jacks and forklifts is a plus. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate records.
