Delivery Driver Cape Cod Commercial Linen Service, Inc Hyannis, MA 02601 Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle heavy lifting. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering products in a timely manner. The driver will be driving within Barnstable Count, MA; Plymouth County, MA; Nantucket County, MA; and Newport County, RI. Responsibilities Perform daily inspections of trucks to ensure safe operation. Load and unload laundry from trucks and loading areas. Safely operate delivery vehicles to pick up and deliver linens and related laundry items to off-property locations. Load and unload products from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling of items. Follow assigned routes and schedules while adhering to traffic regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle for safety compliance. Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status. Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organization. Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary for loading/unloading. Skills Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Must possess a valid US Driver’s license. Must be able to drive for long periods of time during shift(s). Strong driving skills with a clean driving record. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with moving goods. Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems. Experience operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts is a plus. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
