Job Description
Delivery Driver/General Shop Absolute Metal Finishing Norwood, MA 02062 We are looking for an experienced driver to pick up and deliver to our customers in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. You may also do pick-ups at vendors as well. This position will also involve general shop help, ie: shipping, masking, maintenance, wiring, etc. Responsibilities Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver van into loading or unloading positions Collect and verify delivery instructions General shop help- float based on need Skills 6 months – 1 year work experience as a truck or van driver Must maintain a clean driver’s license. We do run a background check/drug testing prior to hire Handy skills needed to do a variety of tasks as needed around the shop We provide a full benefits package. Rate is negotiable and based on experience. Overtime may be necessary on some days, and is paid at the time and a half rate.
