Responsibilities Drive a box truck or other delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload items safely and securely, ensuring that all deliveries are accounted for. Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with customers, providing updates on delivery status and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and logs of items transported. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation. Handle any necessary paperwork related to deliveries, including invoices and delivery confirmations. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving or as a courier preferred. Proficient in operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Strong route driving skills with the ability to navigate efficiently using maps or GPS systems. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor when interacting with clients. Ability to lift heavy packages and move items as required during loading and unloading processes. Familiarity with safety protocols related to driving and handling goods is essential. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate delivery records.
