Delivery Driver Valley Delivery Inc. Newton, NC 28658 Overview We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed. If you enjoy driving and providing exceptional service, we want to hear from you! Duties Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Load and unload goods using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary. Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries while maintaining accurate delivery records. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status. Handle heavy lifting of packages as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle. Experience Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with route driving and warehouse operations is a plus. Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is advantageous. Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) safely. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
