Job Summary:

A beverage company in Colfax, NC is seeking motivated Delivery Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering products to customers, loading/unloading, stocking product, and ensuring that inventory is well-maintained. You will work closely with the sales and delivery teams to address customer needs and ensure products are delivered in a timely and accurate manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Deliver products to customers based on a pre-scheduled route, ensuring timely deliveries. Adapt to changes in work assignments and assist with organizational restructuring efforts. Follow accounts receivable guidelines when checking in orders (DSD, PO#, Military, Receipt, or Stamp). Place products in designated areas or directly onto the sales floor, as directed. Pick up all empty shells, flats, returned pallets, and any damaged or out-of-date products. Merchandise products at assigned stops according to the schedule provided by management. Communicate any issues, problems, or opportunities to the sales team and delivery team. Follow all company policies and procedures as established by management.

Computer Skills:

Familiarity with Encompass handheld database software is preferred.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid Class C/D driver’s license is required.

Work Environment:

The position involves both indoor and outdoor work, and the employee may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds using an electric pallet jack or cart. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires frequent use of hands to handle or feel objects, and the ability to reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally required to climb or balance.
