Full Job Description Role Summary:

The Yard Associate IV is responsible for loading and unloading delivery trucks, along with keeping the warehouse and landscape supply yard well organized. As a Yard Associate II you will also deliver products or samples to customers or other locations in the area and will require non-CDL driving. This position requires interaction with customers as you help load products into their vehicles and assist them with any questions they might have. To be a successful Yard Associate II, you must be organized, plan ahead, and be able to prioritize your daily work. Job Responsibilities Operates heavy equipment such as a loader to move product or load product for customers Organizes and cleans warehouse and landscape supply yard Ensures that all materials are properly identified, packaged, and labeled Examines materials visually to ensure conformance to established standards Cleans and maintains supplies, tools, equipment, and warehouse Organizes, plans, and prioritizes daily work Uses forklift or loader to move product around the yard Completes all necessary documentation at the end of shift Safely operate and drive a non-CDL truck Adhere to all applicable traffic laws, safety regulations, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations Inspect, and maintain vehicles are required Keep electronic and/or paper vehicle logs, and records of cargo as required by law or requested by company Complete paperwork accurately and timely Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle Report any mechanical or other problems with the vehicle to the Store Manager, troubleshoot minor problems Follow delivery instructions and delivery schedules from Management Ensure all product deliveries are signed for and proof of delivery is turned in at the end of each day Utilize GPS navigation, paper maps, road signs and other navigational items Understand the product and item numbers to not deliver incorrect items or quantities Communicate any problems or delays to Store Manager Maintain a courteous and professional attitude when interacting with customers Provide prompt, courteous customer service Maintain company vehicles which includes keeping it clean, knowing when the maintenance is due and notifying proper people when maintenance is required Fueling and unloading truck at the end of each day so it is ready for the next day Maintain receipts pertaining to fuel purchases made on the company fuel card Assisting customers daily Supports the vision, mission, and guiding principles of the company Operates within company policy and submits reports as requested Punctual and regular attendance per scheduled shifts Responsible for safety and health of self and others Other duties as assigned Operate with

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed onsite at a company store and related outside yard and warehouses. The work environment for this position is primarily outdoors in a yard setting, where exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind, is expected. The yard environment may involve uneven terrain, dust, and noise from machinery. Work may also be performed in the cage or cab of yard equipment, which may have some climate control features. Personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety vests, eye protection and gloves, must be worn as required. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, requiring a standard 40-hour workweek. Hours may fluctuate based on the season, with weekend work and occasional overtime required based on business needs.
