Job Summary:
We are seeking a responsible and safety-conscious School Bus Driver to transport students to and from school in a safe and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to student safety, excellent driving skills, and a friendly, professional attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a school bus along designated routes, adhering to schedules. Ensure the safety of all passengers, assisting students with boarding and exiting as needed. Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety. Enforce school bus safety rules and ensure proper student behavior. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff. Report any incidents, delays, or mechanical issues promptly. Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the bus. Follow all traffic laws and school transportation policies.
Qualifications:
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with school bus endorsement. Proven experience as a bus driver (preferably in a school setting). Strong knowledge of local routes in
NC 28677.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations. Must pass background checks, drug screenings, and a school district safety review.
