Provide first quality service to each customer while maintaining optimum levels of revenue and assuring that customer retention and customer expansion are in line with defined Sales and Service goals and objectives on an individual and collective basis. Responsible for ensuring each customer receives the right product, in the right quantity, at the right time, at the right price and right lease/rental terms through aggressive route and account planning, execution, monitoring and follow-up. Develop a close positive relationship with each assigned customer. Ensure target goals are met or exceeded in the areas of renewals, lost customer avoidance, loss and damage identification and additional business which includes additional upselling to customer base and new customer lead generation. Maintain a safe work environment and practice traffic safety at all times. Maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record (MVR) aligned with Company policy and insurance carrier guidelines. Ensure policies and procedures are followed in all areas of responsibility.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Dedicate adequate time and effort to become intimately familiar with each customer and their individual business profiles. Particular attention must be given to the type of business, the pattern and scope of product usage together with optimum circulating inventory levels, demands, service agreement status, points of delivery and storage and payment status. Educate customers in all aspects of our business, not only in the way in which we conduct our business in servicing the account, but also methods the customer should use to protect and safeguard our products. Prior to daily departure, check and validate all customer orders, ensure all special orders are correctly assigned and all paperwork is prepared for the day’s deliveries. Trucks should be checked according to DOT regulations (pre-trip inspections) to make certain it is roadworthy and the load is secure. Each daily route will be completed in such a manner as to make certain that customer requirements are continually met on a timely basis. Proper execution of the company’s required “debrief” process which includes completing weekly plans based on company and individual goals. Complete all route settlements procedures and required administrative and financial documentation in accordance with policy and procedures. Ensure that invoices are completed and coded accurately and on time.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS

Will be required to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. frequently and repetitively throughout the day, stand and walk frequently throughout the day, bending, continuous use of hands and arms for handling, and reaching and moving product.
