Local Delivery Driver 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Allendale, NJ 07401 As a Local Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods from the distribution center, Warehouses or our manufacturing facility to local business or customers within a specified area. You will operate a box truck, ensuring that all deliveries are made promptly and accurately while adhering to traffic and safety regulations. This position is for our Elgen facility. Duties and responsibilities

Transportation of Goods:

Drive box trucks to deliver various goods, packages, or products to designated locations within the local area.

Loading and Unloading:

Load and unload cargo from the truck, ensuring that items are handled carefully to prevent damage.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate delivery records, including receipts, delivery confirmations, and any other relevant documentation.

Customer Service:

Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients and ensuring that deliveries are made according to their requirements.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the box truck such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, routine servicing, and overall vehicle condition with DVIR reporting.

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the truck, including wearing seatbelts, following proper loading, and unloading procedures.

Communication:

Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address issues or concerns that may arise during the delivery process. Qualifications Valid divers License with a clean driving record. Pass Routine Motor Vehicle Report check. High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role, preferably with box truck experience. Excellent navigational skills and knowledge of local roads and neighborhoods. Strong attention to detail and time management skills. Good communication and customer service skills. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weeknights, weekends and holidays. Mantenimiento del vehículo: Realizar inspecciones y mantenimiento rutinario del camión tipo caja, como revisar niveles de fluidos, presión de llantas, servicios regulares y condiciones generales del vehículo, incluyendo la presentación de reportes DVIR.

Cumplimiento de seguridad:

Cumplir con todas las leyes de tránsito y normativas de seguridad al operar el camión, incluyendo el uso de cinturones de seguridad y los procedimientos adecuados de carga y descarga. Comunicación: Comunicarse eficazmente con despachadores, supervisores y otros miembros del equipo para coordinar los horarios de entrega y resolver cualquier problema o inquietud que surja durante el proceso de entrega. Resistencia física y capacidad para soportar largas jornadas de conducción y trabajo manual.
