The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods to our customers while maintaining a high level of customer service. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of delivery vehicles. Duties Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and box trucks, to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload products efficiently, ensuring that items are secured and protected during transit. Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary for heavy lifting tasks. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries or concerns during the delivery process. Experience Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety protocols is essential. Experience operating various types of vehicles, including vans, box trucks, or other commercial vehicles. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo. Previous experience using pallet jacks and forklifts is a plus but not mandatory. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively while on the road.
