Duties Operate a tractor-trailer to transport freight from Watkins Glen. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery records. Communicate with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays encountered during transit. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads. Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo, securing loads as necessary. Skills Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailer units. Familiarity with delivery driving practices. Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards. Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines consistently. Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges that arise during transport. Good communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and customers.
