Delivery Driver Overview:

Join our team and enjoy competitive pay ! We are seeking a RELIABLE and experienced Delivery Driver to join our collective. We operate to help small farms get their goods to chefs and retailers. As a Delivery Driver for LocalBound, you will be responsible for transporting farm goods to and from our warehouse to various locations in and around Philadelphia, New York City, northern Maryland, western New Jersey, and Lancaster in a timely manner. This job is extremely physically demanding. Each route in Philadelphia has 15 to 25+ stops. Each stop can range from one box to approximately 20 boxes or more. Sometimes the deliveries require long walks from the van to the location, depending on parking. Sometimes goods must be carried down into basements via doors on the side walk or up long flights of stairs. Most delivery days to Philadelphia the vans are loaded floor to ceiling. The vans must be loaded tightly and meticulously so the load doesn’t shift and send produce everywhere. So, if you don’t mind driving 8 to 12 hrs in a shift, have excellent communication skills, and a strong work ethic, we would like to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a large refrigerated van or box truck.
• Deliver products to restaurants and retailers
• Pick up goods at Farms
• Meticulously load and unload goods very tightly as to avoid shifting loads
• Follow schedules and routes efficiently
• Communicate in a timely fashion with management regarding any delays or issues
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
• Maintain the vehicle in good condition and report any maintenance needs

Requirements:

• 2 years experience in delivery driving or similar role
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Excellent communication and observational and problem solving skills
• Comfortable with city driving
