The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations while ensuring exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving, loading and unloading cargo, and maintaining the delivery vehicle in good condition. Responsibilities Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise. Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries or concerns professionally. Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organization. Qualifications Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred. Experience operating box trucks or vans; familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo. Previous experience in route driving or courier services is advantageous. Forklift certification is a nice-to-have but not required; willingness to obtain certification if necessary. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
