We are looking for an experienced motivated Tractor Trailer Truck Driver for a night/part time Solo position, especially for Friday’s, Saturday’s and some Sunday’s(Great position for someone who is retired or someone looking to make some extra money). Runs usually leave around 10:30PM and you must be able to stay up and drive thru the night until early A.M. (Sunrise ). Must have a Class A CDL with Doubles Endorsement, acceptable MVR based on hiring standards and clean background. You must have at least 1 year OTR experience within the last 3 years or 2 years OTR in the last 5 years. Everything is 100% drop and hook. Deliveries to FedEx Hubs only.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1.) Operate tractor-trailer combination, including doubles 2.) Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment 3.) Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies to/from a tractor and/or trailer 4.) Verify and complete required documentation and reports 5.) Maintain accurate daily logs 6.) Follow dispatch instructions and communicate with dispatch (e.g. delays, arrivals, equipment problems), as required 7.) Demonstrate internal and external customer service 8.) Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures 9.) Perform other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory requirements under section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier (FMC) regulationsBasic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)Ability to hook-up and break-down sets of trailers that require an average lift force of about 100 pounds, several times a day or more.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time, bend, twist, squat, and climb in and out of truck. Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
