Part Time Rail Trail Bike Shuttle Driver Lamoille Valley Bike Tours 19 Creamery St, Johnson, VT 05656 Job Summary Seeking a part time seasonal shuttle driver for summer/fall season with flexibility to help Thursday – Saturday. Duties include greeting and orienting customers on bikes, the rail trail and local area and transporting riders and bikes on the bike shuttle. Must be 18 years old or older to apply, able to lift up to 60 pounds, have a clean driving record and be comfortable driving a 14 passenger shuttle with a large tow-behind trailer. This dynamic position may require some shifts as our trailside bike attendant managing bike rentals. This is a great position for an outgoing responsible person, student or teacher looking for extra income while engaging with the local tourism community. Duties Safely operate shuttle vehicles to transport passengers to and from specified locations along our rail trail shuttle route. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including heavy lifting of luggage and bikes. Communicate effectively with passengers regarding schedules and routes. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving. Provide excellent customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns promptly. Skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people. Experience in delivery driving or bus driving is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for loading bikes. Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is beneficial.
