Mainly for sight seeing, dolphin tours, very basic fishing. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a deep understanding of maritime navigation, and the capability to accomodate guests appropriately. This role requires a commitment to safety, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction while ensuring compliance with all maritime regulations. Duties Navigate and operate the vessel safely and efficiently in various water conditions. Manage crew members by assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Conduct regular inspections of the boat’s rigging and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Maintain mechanical knowledge of the vessel’s systems for troubleshooting and repairs as needed. Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information about routes, safety procedures, and points of interest. Prepare and submit reports on vessel operations, maintenance needs, and crew performance. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal maritime regulations. Requirements Valid OUPV 6 pack license as required by maritime authorities. Proven experience in managing a crew on commercial or recreational vessels. Strong mechanical knowledge to address maintenance issues promptly. Ability to rig equipment safely and efficiently for various marine activities. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions in emergency situations.
