Fleet Manager Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and professional Route Driver to join our team. As a Route Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering products to customers across designated routes. You will ensure that deliveries are made on time, with excellent customer service and in full compliance with safety standards. This position requires strong driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle and deliver products securely.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a company vehicle along assigned routes to deliver products to customers. Load and unload products from the vehicle, ensuring secure transport and proper handling. Maintain an accurate delivery log, including mileage, deliveries, and time. Provide excellent customer service by being courteous and professional when interacting with clients. Address and resolve customer inquiries or concerns promptly during deliveries. Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during transport. Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any issues for maintenance or repair. Assist in planning and organizing delivery schedules to optimize efficiency. Adhere to schedules and ensure timely deliveries within the designated area. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle at all times. Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license. Clean driving record with no major violations. Ability to lift and carry items up to [50 lbs] and assist with loading/unloading. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and solve problems on the route. Basic knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent required.
