Local Route Driver Clark Gas Co. Snead, AL 35952 Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Local Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently within designated routes. This position requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, as well as the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including trucks and trailers. A commitment to safety and customer service is essential. Duties Safely operate commercial vehicles Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition. Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Assist in training new drivers on safe driving practices and vehicle operation when needed. Qualifications Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated. Hazmat endorsement, or willingness to obtain within the first 30 days. Strong understanding of load securing techniques and safety protocols for transporting goods. Ability to pass background checks and adhere to company policies regarding safety standards.
