Job Description:

Residential Waste Collection Truck Operator – Huntsville, TX Weare seeking a dependable and safety-conscious individual to operateheavy-duty trucks for residential waste collection in Huntsville,TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for: Operating andmaneuvering heavy trucks to collect waste from residential areas.

Transporting refuse to assigned disposal or transfer sites once thetruck reaches capacity. Safely navigating through neighborhoods,including congested streets, narrow driveways, and alleys. Adheringto all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company protocols.

Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and reportingmaintenance needs. Providing courteous and professional service tothe public and team members.

Compensation:

$19 – $23 hourly

Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individualmust be able to perform the following tasks: Operates vehicle inaccordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements aswell as all local, state, and federal laws. Performs pre- andpost-trip inspections of assigned vehicles and document checksutilizing the standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report).Immediately report all unsafe situations or service-related issuesto the Route Manager or Dispatch. Attends and participates in allscheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required byLive Oak Environmental or directed by the Route Manager. Worksclosely with the Route Manager to improve route efficiencies andidentify best practices. Notifies Route Manager of any incidents,accidents, injuries, or property damage. Notifies Route Manager orDispatch of service interruptions including closed or impassablestreets or alleyways, receptacles too heavy to service, orpotential safety hazards. Communicates customer requests to theDispatch or Route Manager. Completely dumps all receptacles andleaves the customer’s location clean and free of debris. Followsroute assignments as directed and completes end-of-daydocumentation and check-out process. Performs all duties asscheduled by the Route Manager or Dispatch and assists otherdrivers as directed to meet customer needs.

Education and Experience Education:

None Required.

Experience:

One (1) year of experience operating avehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving within thelast 7 years. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, or OtherRequirements Legally eligible to work in the United States. Hold acurrent Class A or B Commercial Drivers License with an air brakeendorsement. Must be at least 18 years of age. Other Knowledge,Skills, or Abilities Required None required.
