Residential Waste Collection Truck Operator
- Huntsville, TX Weare seeking a dependable and safety-conscious individual to operateheavy-duty trucks for residential waste collection in Huntsville,TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Operating andmaneuvering heavy trucks to collect waste from residential areas.
- Transporting refuse to assigned disposal or transfer sites once thetruck reaches capacity.
- Safely navigating through neighborhoods,including congested streets, narrow driveways, and alleys.
- Adhering to all traffic laws, safety procedures, and companyprotocols.
- Performing pre
- and post-trip vehicle inspections andreporting maintenance needs.
- Providing courteous and professionalservice to the public and team members.
Compensation:
$19
- $23hourly
Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, anindividual must be able to perform the following tasks:
- Operatesvehicle in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation)requirements as well as all local, state, and federal laws.
- Performs pre
- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles anddocument checks utilizing the standard DVIR (Driver VehicleInspection Report).
- Immediately report all unsafe situations orservice-related issues to the Route Manager or Dispatch.
- Attendsand participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, andmeetings as required by Live Oak Environmental or directed by theRoute Manager.
- Works closely with the Route Manager to improveroute efficiencies and identify best practices.
- Notifies RouteManager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage
- Notifies Route Manager or Dispatch of service interruptionsincluding closed or impassable streets or alleyways, receptaclestoo heavy to service, or potential safety hazards.
- Communicatescustomer requests to the Dispatch or Route Manager.
- Completelydumps all receptacles and leaves the customer’s location clean andfree of debris.
- Follows route assignments as directed andcompletes end-of-day documentation and check-out process.
- Performs all duties as scheduled by the Route Manager or Dispatchand assists other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.

Experience:
One (1) yearof experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalentmilitary driving within the last 7 years. Certificates, Licenses,Registrations, or Other Requirements
- Legally eligible to work inthe United States.
- Hold a current Class A or B Commercial DriversLicense with an air brake endorsement.
- Must be at least 18 yearsof age. Other Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities Required
