Granite Delivery Truck Driver Position:

As a Granite Delivery Truck Driver at Pinnacle Surfaces, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive their valuable granite, quartz and other varieties of slabs safely, efficiently, and with expert care.

Your responsibilities will include:

Operating a company-provided straight bed truck to transport granite slabs of varying sizes and weights securely across Georgia. Employing extensive experience in securing granite slabs using proper tie-down techniques and A-frame systems to ensure stability during transportation. Utilizing GPS or navigation apps to determine optimal routes. Facilitating updates and communication with customers to coordinate delivery schedules,provide timely updates, and ensure their utmost satisfaction. Collaborating with team members to unload granite slabs at customer locations,showcasing strong teamwork and customer service skills. Upholding the cleanliness and maintenance of your assigned truck to ensure operationalefficiency. Demonstrating proficiency in forklift loading and maneuvering when necessary,contributing to streamlined operations and efficient handling of materials.

Qualifications:

Valid Class B or Class C driver’s license with a clean driving record. Minimum of 3 years of experience operating a truck, preferably with proven experience in delivering granite slabs or similar heavy materials. Current Medical Certification is required. Successful completion of a Pre-Employment DOT drug screen. No disqualifying violations in the State Motor Vehicle Report. No disqualifying events on the FMCSA Pre-Employment Screening Report. Forklift experience preferred. Must be 21 years of age or older. Warehouse experience is essential – particularly in moving and loading slabs. Expertise in secure loading techniques, including A-frame usage and proper tie-down procedures, is necessary. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to interact professionally with customers and colleagues. Physical ability to lift and move moderate weights (up to 50 lbs) and maneuver on uneven terrain is essential. Adaptability to a dynamic schedule, including both short and long-distance deliveries across various locations. Reliability, punctuality, and a positive and proactive attitude are crucial attributes.
