The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and customer service while demonstrating proficiency in various driving tasks. This role requires the ability to operate different types of vehicles, including flatbeds and tow trucks, while ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods or services. Responsibilities Safely operate vehicles, including flatbed trucks and tow trucks, to transport goods or provide roadside assistance. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe working condition. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving any conflicts that may arise during transportation. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and any incidents that occur on the road. Assist with loading and unloading cargo, ensuring proper handling of materials to prevent damage. Utilize automotive diagnostic skills to identify minor mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance as needed. Drive manual transmission vehicles when required, demonstrating proficiency in operating various types of equipment including forklifts. Qualifications Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required for this position. Experience with flatbed trucks and tow truck operations is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage conflicts effectively. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics and mechanics is a plus. Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles confidently. Forklift certification is advantageous but not mandatory. Must be able to pass background checks and adhere to safety regulations at all times.
