Professional Mover/Driver Ashley Gilbreath Interior Design Montgomery, AL 36106 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Mover/Driver to join our Interior Design Warehouse Team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods and assisting with moving tasks, ensuring that items are handled with care and delivered on time. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and have experience in driving various types of vehicles, including box trucks and vans. Our schedule is typically Monday-Friday with roughly 3-5 weekends a year in which you will know of these dates well in advance. Most work is local with occasional out of town travel that you will also know about in advance. Our days start at 8am. Prior experience is not required but can be helpful. Our movers need to be well-mannered, well-groomed, on-time, always in uniform, and dedicated to the task at hand. Duties Safely operate a box truck or van to transport goods to designated locations. Assist in loading and unloading items, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts for efficient movement of heavy items. Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients, addressing any concerns or questions. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pick-ups, ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Skills Experience as a van driver or courier preferred. Knowledge of moving techniques and best practices for handling various types of items. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Familiarity with using pallet jacks and forklifts is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a team environment as well as independently. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
