Alabama Steel Supply is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Loader to join our team. This role is essential in our steel manufacturing facility, requiring individuals with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Load, unload, and move steel materials within the yard and facility. Operate forklifts and other equipment to transport steel products. Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory in the yard. Ensure accuracy in loading and shipping orders. Work collaboratively with team members to meet operational goals. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or vendors. Follow supervisor instructions and company policies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Strong work ethic and reliability. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Good communication and customer service skills. Prior experience operating steel manufacturing equipment is a plus, but not required. Forklift certification is a plus. Must adhere to all company safety guidelines and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided.
