- ask your Recruiter for details Job DescriptionThe Route Trainee CDL is a touch freight position and responsibilities include, but not limited to, delivery, stocking, merchandising shelves, rack and displays in accounts.
What your day will look like:
Unloads and transports products from the route truck to retail outletsResponsible for merchandising all product inside the outlet to company standardsSets up merchandise and sales promotion displayCommunicates any store level issue to managementComplies with DOT rules for driving purposesResponsible for safeguarding company assetsMaintains rapport with customersCollects or picks up empty containers or rejected/unsold merchandiseAbility to work with a handheld deviceWhat you need to succeed: Minimum of 21 years oldClass A Commercial Driver’s License required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policyPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policiesRegular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the jobAbility to read, write and speak English Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelinesAbility to maintain safety and security of Company assetsAbility to utilize all Company provided resources and technologyHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6 to 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memosAbility to write simple correspondenceAbility to effectively present information in one on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organizationAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructionsAbility to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situationsAbility to operate a manual or motorized pallet jackBuild strong relationships with customer base across assigned customersPhysical RequirementsPosition will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program.
