Job Objectives:

To ensure the Koeppel Community Sports Center (Koeppel Center) is clean, safe and ready for public use at all times. This includes, but not limited to the setting up and taking down of various items for various scheduled shows and functions, both for on-ice and non-ice events. Provide courteous, knowledgeable and helpful information and/or services to customers, merchants, and other individuals you may interact with at the ice rink during your shifts. Rents skates, sell services and/or products offered as required. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Facility Manager.

Essential Job Functions:

Perform ice resurfacing.
Perform ice resurfacing and air quality sampling.
Must be able to work safely on wet and icy surfaces.
Monitor and record refrigeration system readings, emergency generator operation, air quality log and equipment logs.
Maintain the arena ice schedule on time.
Respond to injuries or incidents as they occur, notify the proper authorities.
Inform arena management of any incidents, injuries or causes for concern during his/her shift, keep accurate records.
Police grounds, arena, locker rooms, showers, lobby and parking lot, keep accurate records.
Ensure proper equipment is worn by participants on the ice at all times.
Properly secure building at time of closing.
Carry out all maintenance orders/projects assigned by arena management.
Assign team rooms and inspect condition of same after use by each group, damage or breakage is to be reported and billed to the appropriate customer.
Maintain proper control of heat and lighting as directed by arena management.
Sets up chairs, bleachers, stages, floors, and other types of equipment for Koeppel Center events as directed/needed.
Maintain buildings and ground cleanliness both inside and out, pick up trash, operate trash back pack blowers, mop bleachers, floors and seating areas, operates power cleaning equipment, etc.
Maintain grounds using weed eaters, mower, edger, hand scrapper, snow shovel, etc.
Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
Perform any other duties as necessary or assigned by arena management to ensure patron satisfaction. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED
​Ability to work independently as well as within a team
​Strong communication skills (oral and written)
