position. This role involves operating various types of commercial vehicles, ensuring timely and safe delivery of freight. The ideal candidate will have experience in route driving and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. Duties Operate tractor-trailer, dump truck, refrigerated trailer, or tanker vehicles for local deliveries. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance as required by DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate deliveries. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any client inquiries or concerns. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving with a Class A CDL is required. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Experience in freight handling, route driving, or delivery driving is advantageous. Previous work with refrigerated trailers or tankers is a plus but not mandatory. Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in the trucking industry is essential.
