$22.95 Base Pay Rate Job Profile Summary All drivers run dailyroutes with frequent stops and are required to load packages ontohand trucks and unload product at each stop on the assigned routein the order they are designated by the Transportation DepartmentManager. The candidate will operate successfully in a cross-dockmodel picking up a loaded truck from a nightly delivery at theassigned loading dock and return the empty truck back to theassigned lot at the end of the route. May be required to assistoccasionally with loading-trucks, palletizing product, andperforming other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager. The candidate will operatesuccessfully in a cross-dock model picking up a loaded truck from anightly delivery at the assigned loading dock and return the emptytruck back to the assigned lot at the end of the route. May berequired to assist occasionally with loading-trucks, palletizingproduct, and performing other duties as assigned by Supervisor orManager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide technical, customer relations,and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Runsroutes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times
• Unload product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, andplace in designated customer storage areas. May includetransporting product down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weatherconditions.
• Frequently lift, push, or move product that weighs1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds; frequently reach up to 72″ to stackand unstack pallets and hand cart; constantly bend and twist whileloading and unloading product, and retrieving items from trailer.
• Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain propersignatures. Contact management for authorization when discrepanciesare on invoices. Communicate all errors/returns.
• Calls in when acustomer does not receive their entire order (shorts)
• Handles anycustomer complaints professionally
• Handles company equipmentproperly, follow written driver safety rules, and performs apre-trip inspection.

Perform pre-trip and post-tripresponsibilities in accordance with Department of Transportation(DOT) regulations and Sysco policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements

• 21 years of age.
• Must submit to apre-employment background check and drug screen.
• License to drive
• valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a cleandriving record.
• Ability to read and speak the English languagesufficiently to converse with the general public, to understandhighway traffic signs and signals in the English language, torespond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports andrecords.
• Touch freight
• may need to lift, push or move productweighing an average of 40-60 pounds and as much as 100 poundsrepeatedly.
• Flexibility
• overtime as required, weekends andholidays as business needs require.
• Ability to read and speak theEnglish language sufficiently to converse with the general public,to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the Englishlanguage, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries onreports and records.” Preferred Requirements
• 1 year customerdelivery experience preferred.
• 6 months hand cart/hand truckexperience preferred.
• 6 months Food and Beverage experiencepreferred.
• 2 years consistent work history preferred.
