Established in 2022, Future Self Logistics (FSL) was inspired by a personal experience that highlighted the necessity for dependable and reasonably-priced. A Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) driver’s primary responsibility is to safely transport individuals to and from medical appointments. This includes ensuring a comfortable and secure journey for passengers, many of whom may have unique health needs or physical limitations

Key Responsibilities:
Safe Transportation:

NEMT drivers must adhere to traffic laws, maintain a safe driving record, and ensure the vehicle is in good working order.

Passenger Assistance:

This involves helping passengers safely enter and exit the vehicle, and providing assistance during the journey as needed, which may include operating wheelchair lifts or securing wheelchairs.

Communication:

NEMT drivers need to effectively communicate with dispatch, passengers, and healthcare providers to coordinate transportation logistics.

Vehicle Maintenance:

This includes conducting routine inspections, maintaining cleanliness, and reporting any maintenance issues.

Record Keeping:

Drivers are responsible for maintaining accurate records of trips, mileage, and any incidents that may occur.

Professionalism:

NEMT drivers must maintain a professional demeanor and provide excellent customer service.

Specific skills and qualifications:

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to operate wheelchair lifts and assist passengers with mobility challenges. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and handle unexpected situations. Physical ability to lift and transfer patients. Knowledge of GPS devices and transportation apps.
