Overview
Saiia Construction Company LLC, a MasTec company, is currently hiring for a CDL Roll Off / Dump Truck driver.
A bonus of $1,500 is available over the course of the first year of employment. The CDL Driver position is responsible for driving tandem and tri-axle trucks equipped with a dump and/or roll off body to transport materials to various locations, job sites and/or office, and dump the materials safely. Performs pre- and post-trip DOT inspections of the assigned tandem axle or tri-axle dump truck or roll off truck and documents findings. Safely drives duel and tri-axel trucks and materials to various destinations. Uses devices inside the truck to dump contents of bed and tilt body. Driver must maintain a clean and safe work truck with regular maintenance. Driver must inspect load before transport to make sure materials are loaded correctly. Driver must also verify stability of the site prior to dumping the load. Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance must always be maintained.
Driver must follow Superintendent or Facility Manager directions and expectations for each specific project or jobsite. Report all accidents and injuries, regardless of severity. Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications
Must have the ability to drive an automatic or manual shift truck. Ability to read, analyze, and process documents such as operating and maintenance manuals, scheduling charts, policy and procedure manuals, repair records, maps, DOT regulations and equipment performance handbooks. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with coworkers, leaders, customers and third-party vendors. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out work in written, verbal, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situation. Attend routine safety meetings. Knowledge of EPA, state EPA, DOT, OSHA, MSHA and other related state and federal regulations. Ability to use email, smart phone, tablet or computer to manage company information and documents. Ability to maintain regular attendance based on employee handbook guidelines. What’s in it for You
