JOB DESCRIPTION
We are a fast-growing wholesale building products Company leader in the industry is offering a Full-time opportunity as a CDL Class A Driver in its Fort Lauderdale location. As a fast pace company, this position is not your typical CDL Class A Driver environment. We are looking for a highly energetic professional with excellent multitasking skills.
Accountabilities and duties:
Delivery:
Deliver the correct product, in the right amount, to all customers at the scheduled delivery times and days. Maintain necessary delivery information on all accounts. Respond promptly to all special service requests and needs. Act courteously, kindly, friendly, and safely always. Safety Operate vehicle in a safe and responsible manner. Complete DOT required documentation daily. Follow defined safe work practices, see Fleet Policy Take ownership of personal safety, and that of co-workers and the public Teamwork Support the team with decisions and help when needed. Communicate and actively participate within the team. Problem solve and manage conflict within the team.
Minimum Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to climb in and out of a commercial vehicle. Ability to alternately sit, stand, push, pull and walk all day, with or without reasonable accommodation. Basic Qualifications High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience Ability to secure and/or maintain a Class A normal driver’s license. In the last 7 years, there have been no major driving offenses – i.e. DUI/DWI, reckless driving, refusal to test, leaving the scene, driving a commercial vehicle without a CDL, or at fault fatal accident. Must be legally able to work in the US. Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
