21st Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960 Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting golf carts safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of various driving environments, including commercial vehicles, freight transport, and route driving. The Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to safety regulations and company policies. Responsibilities Operate a variety of vehicles, including commercial vehicles, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds, to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times while considering traffic patterns and road conditions. Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling of materials. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries made, and vehicle maintenance performed. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport. Adhere to all safety protocols while operating heavy equipment or machinery in yard jockey roles as needed. Requirements Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record. Experience operating commercial vehicles, flatbeds, and heavy machinery operation is a plus. Familiarity with route driving and freight transportation processes. Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment is preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices. Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) as required during loading/unloading processes. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
