CDL Class A Truck Driver Waymaker Transportation 4868 E Hwy 316, Citra, FL 32113 Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and the ability to manage routes effectively. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the freight. Duties Operate and drive various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers and refrigerated trailers, to transport freight. Plan routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety compliance. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and cargo details. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the truck. Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL). Familiarity with route driving techniques and navigation systems. Ability to load and unload freight safely using appropriate equipment such as forklifts. Experience with tanker operations is a plus. Strong understanding of safety regulations in commercial driving. Excellent time management skills for efficient route planning. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and clients.
