OTR CDL Class A Truck Driver Jeff’s Consulting Ocala, FL Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage routes effectively. The Truck Driver will operate different types of vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, tankers, flatbeds, and more, depending on the delivery requirements. Home every 2 weeks Health Benefits Newer Trucks Duties Safely operate trucks to deliver goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are safe and operational. Load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times. Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and report any issues promptly. Experience Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with operating various types of trucks such as dump trucks, roll-off trucks, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, and tankers is advantageous. Experience with route driving and knowledge of local roads is beneficial. Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading cargo is a plus. Strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety practices. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
