Our Stuart, FL location is seeking a Full-Time Van Driver/Life Engagement Assistant to help assist residents with outside appointments and activities by driving them with our company bus. We are seeking individuals who have reliable transportation and who are willing to learn and can adapt to changes quickly. Driving duties will be performed on Tuesdays and Thursdays, other days scheduled will be assisting with activities at the community. The Life Engagement Assistant will assistant the Life Engagement Director with activities & special events at the community.

• DESCRIPTION

• Transportation Responsible for taking residents to off-site appointments and activities. This position will include special events and shuttle service if needed after hours.

• REQUIREMENTS

• MUST have a big heart and be willing to work in an Assisted Living Setting with individuals w/ Alzheimer’s & dementia Ability to Lift 50lbs Transportation (Must have a car) Open Availability/ Flexibility Activity Assistants encouraged to apply!

• DESCRIPTION

• Life Engagement Assistant Assisting the Life Engagement Director with activities within the community.

Hours may vary based on activities/events planned within the community. Some transportation of residents to appointments/events may be required.

Essential Duties :

• Providing assistance to the Life Engagement Director setting up, implementing and cleaning up activities and events.
• Transport residents to and from activities/errands in safe, organized, and responsible fashion.
• Maintaining good communication with staff regarding schedule, time off, resident relations, and condition of vehicle.
• Communicate with residents at least 24 hours prior to departure to clarify times and route.
• Maintain company owned vehicles to keep them safe and efficient working order. Inform Executive Director of any maintenance issues concerning the vehicle.
• Maintain vehicle interior clean orderly fashion during and following usage.
• Fuel vehicle as needed and proved gas receipts to the Executive Director or appropriate associate for processing.
• Follow community policies and procedures to include emergency, fire, and disaster plans.
• Remain flexible for unscheduled emergency transportation.
• Assist with resident appointments and activities as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications:

A passion for helping seniors. High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred. At least one (1) year of related work experience preferred. This position can also include some evenings and holidays. All offers of employment with Sodalis Senior Living are contingent upon a satisfactory background and drug screening.
