Boca By Design Driver The Boca Raton – 3.5 Boca Raton, FL Job Details Full-time $19.00 – $19.50 an hour 11 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications English Mid-level Driver’s License Full Job Description Summary The ideal candidate can safely operate a cargo van or box truck while transporting flowers, live plants and floral supplies. Has knowledge of the surrounding area and some experience in the floral or event business. Physically be able to get in and out of van multiple times a day and lifting sometimes heavy floral arrangements or decor. Must have flexible hours. The ability to work well within a diversified, creative group of persons to insure client satisfaction. Essential Functions Be comfortable driving box truck and van Able to check in, hydrate, unpack flowers, and maintain plants Able to answer the phone and take orders Report damaged and missing items Attend monthly meetings and weekly employee meetings Unloading/ packing/ processing florals and floral arrangements. Must have reliable transportation and a flexible schedule Able to assist in setups, building chuppahs, arches, and other possible décor Develop working knowledge of all properties serviced by Boca By Design Develop Good phone/ sales abilities. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by managers Required to inspect vehicle before and after shifts. Setup and strike events. Willingness to do Miami trip to retrieve floral orders. Ability to assist with plant maintenance. Internal Relationships Reports to Boca by Design managers and associates, resort managers and associates, guests and clients. External Relationships Has regular contact with vendors, clients and members. Qualifications Must have valid Florida Driver’s License. Understand/Speak/Read/Write English fluently. Education/Experience Requirements Physical Requirements Must be able to sit, walk, stand, stoop or bend for duration of shift (up to 8 hours) Able to lift/carry 50 lbs. Must be able to sit, stand, stoop or bend for duration of shift (at least eight hours)
