out of 5 stars West Palm Beach, FL 33409 Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The driver could be doing some warehouse work such as selecting and loading of trucks when workload is light for deliveries. This is a NON-CDL local delivery driver job where the driver will be working Monday to Friday with a 7:00 AM dispatch. Shifts are between 8 and 10 hours depending on the needs of that day. Duties Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and trucks, to transport goods to designated locations. Perform route driving to ensure timely delivery of products while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. The driver will be driving a 24 foot box trucks. They will be going to job sites – residential locations, retail stores or offices and warehouses making between 15 and 20 stops per day. They will be going into work the same time everyday and the route for the day will be given in the morning as the company does same day deliveries. having previous flatbed truck experience would be an asset but not a necessity. If you have previous Moffet or forklift experience would be very helpful but not a necessity. Job description They may need to help load the product, which can be any variety of pool equipment, from a pool heater to chlorine and other chemicals, in the morning if the truck is not already full. The product will be boxed and packaged and then palletized. This is touch freight and can be a little labor intensive. The product will be offloaded with a pallet jack and a hand cart and the trucks do have lift gates. The driver does need to have experience with pallet jacks. Drivers will need to lift 50 to 80 lbs. bags of material onto pallets manually. For the 400lb pool heaters – drivers will be using a Utility dolley that the heater will be strapped on to and then they will push/pull the heater on to the dolley, use the lift gate to get down to ground level and then will push the heater on the dolly to where it needs to go.
