JOB SUMMARY
The Driver is responsible for transportation vehicles and being able to transport company’s belongings and/or passengers safely and securely from one location to another, while also making sure that the standards of The Carriage House are kept.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Transport employees and/or company’s belongings to and from destinations. Responsible for the cleanliness of vehicles and upkeep, including gas and refilling gas or whatever is needed to help the vehicles run proficiently. Ensures all items are properly stored in assigned areas once transported. Arrive at destination on schedule. Research and plan for traffic, constructions and weather delays Use navigation applications to determine the best route. Arrange for vehicle repair as needed. Attends meetings and training as required. Reports to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in the correct uniform. Performs warehouse work as necessary including organizing, moving and inventory.
ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES
Detailed knowledge of rules and regulations of the law for driving a motor vehicle Strong knowledge and skills in driving vans and upkeep Must be able to multitask and work in a face paced team environment. Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules. Strong organizational and verbal communication skills Excellent guest and employee relations skills Ability to satisfactorily communicate in jobrelated English.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Valid driver’s license and. One year or more of driving experience. Excellent navigation and proficiency in using navigation applications to find locations. Time management and organizational skills to keep track of duties and stay on schedule. Able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation. Able to lift and carry containers up and equipment weighing 100 lbs. Able to reach various levels ranging from overhead to the floor. Ability to withstand high temperatures, moisture, and noise levels in work areas.
