Donation Pickup Driver Suncoast Veterans Trucking Port Richey, FL 34668

Job Summary General Description:

Suncoast Veterans Trucking is looking for route drivers to assist in our donation collection program. Our search is focused on finding hard working individuals with great customer service skills and a record of safety.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate vehicle through residential streets and on highways
• Operate vehicle in compliance with established company standards and state driving regulations
• Drive truck along scheduled local route picking up donations(clothes, electronics, furniture etc.)
• Ensure the safety, security and accountability of the vehicle and donations at all times
• Ensure all donations are delivered to designated warehouse
• Safely load/unload merchandise from facility/vehicle utilizing hand trucks, pallet jacks or other lifting devices
• Ensure Donation centers are maintained by servicing as needed based on donation drop off volume.

Requirements:

Dependable and Hardworking.

• Ability to read, write and communicate the English language
• Read and follow a map, hand written or verbal directions
• Documentation, fill out daily truck inspection/route sheets
• Maintain telephone contact with supervisor to receive donor request changes
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and push 150 pounds
• Perform strenuous heavy work, involving lifting and carrying of heavy objects
• Perform continuous walking, stooping, standing and some climbing
• Must be able to effectively sort, stack and process incoming donations in a safe an organized manner
• Must be self motivated with a high degree of personal integrity and honesty
• Must have an analytic mind and be able to handle multiple task
• Must be punctual and have good work habits
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education:

• High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred but not required
• One year experience driving a heavy-duty truck OR large van OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

License & Certifications:

• C.D.L. NOT

• Valid FL driver’s license
• Clean Department Of Motor Vehicle Report Compensation
• Starting $15.00
• 18.00 hourly
