St. Petersburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is looking for a dependable and compassionate Transportation Driver & Appointment Scheduler to support our residents by coordinating and providing transportation to medical appointments and outings. This dual-role position is essential in ensuring residents receive timely medical care while maintaining a high level of dignity, safety, and service.
Key Responsibilities:
Transportation (Driver Duties): Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, off-site therapies, and other scheduled outings Assist residents in and out of the vehicle as needed, ensuring safety at all times Maintain cleanliness, routine checks, and minor maintenance of the facility vehicle(s) Accurately document transport activities, mileage, and resident interactions Scheduling (Appointment Coordination Duties): Schedule and confirm resident medical appointments with outside providers Communicate with residents, families, and healthcare providers to coordinate transportation logistics Maintain accurate records of all appointments and transportation schedules Work closely with nursing and administrative staff to ensure medical appointment needs are met promptly
Qualifications:
Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record Active FL CNA License Minimum of 1 year of experience driving professionally, preferably in a healthcare or senior care setting CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire) Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Ability to assist residents with limited mobility
Preferred:
Experience working in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology Knowledge of local St. Petersburg medical offices and hospital systems Why Work With Us?
