Summary
The Driver is responsible for the pick-up and delivery of equipment, tools, and installation materials to the main office and/or job sites. Job-related contact can occur with all demographic groups, the majority being equipment, tools, installation materials, distributors, vendors, the Warehouse Manager, Project Managers, Trade Managers, Job Foremen, and other CES employees.
Essential Duties
Driving truck to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads in the area.
Picking up the necessary equipment, tools, or installation materials from distributors for restocking CES Mechanical inventory as directed by supervisor.
Verifying load against shipping papers.
Delivering equipment, tools, and installation materials from inventory or distributors to job sites.
Coordinating with the Logistics Tool Lead for efficient allocation of time and service to the installation crews.
Coordinating with the Logistics Tool Lead to ensure adequate inventory levels and need for pickup and delivery of equipment, tools, and installation materials.
Maintaining telephone or radio contact with direct report and Foreman to receive delivery instructions. Must sign in and out after each job. Must sign in with vehicle identity information.
Must inspect truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas oil, water, etc., prior to driving to the worksite.
May perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, and spark plugs.
Assisting with warehouse duties as directed by supervisor
Use of phones, earplugs, etc. can only be used while on break. Use of phones, earplugs, etc. can’t be used while working.
Load and unload the delivery truck

Ability to follow specific directions
Practical oral and written communications skills required
Document and maintain accurate records and reports on completed assignments
Knowledge of basic maintenance functions
Perform a variety of duties which may often change, as well as repeating tasks of short duration according to a set procedure
Must not have fear of heights (Acrophobia)
Work independently and under minimal supervision
Licenses/Certifications
Valid Florida Driver’s License is required
Incumbent must be insurable at all times by CES insurance carrier
CDL License- Preferred but not required
