Job Description:

SoFLo Premier Logistics LLC is an Amazon Delivery Service Partner. This position involves assisting new Delivery Associates (DA) with on-the-job training, evaluating their performance, and ensuring they meet the company’s standards for safety, efficiency, and customer service. This position exemplifies reliability, performance, and is proficient in communication and mentorship.

Core Responsibilities:
On-the-Job Training:

New DAs will be paired with the trainer to learn the basics of route completion, delivery procedures, safety protocols, and other processes.

Route Support:

The trainer will support the DA with route execution, providing guidance on the most efficient methods, and helping the DA learn how to navigate different neighborhoods and address scenarios.

Delivery Procedures:

The trainer will demonstrate and explain the proper procedures for loading and unloading packages, scanning packages, interacting with customers, and ensuring the safe delivery of packages.

Safety Training:

A key responsibility is to ensure DAs adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including proper handling of packages, safe driving practices, emergency procedures, and incident reporting.

Performance Evaluation:

The trainer will monitor the DA’s performance and provide feedback on their skills and progress. This may involve ride-a-longs, observation of deliveries, and formal evaluations.

Problem Solving:

The trainer will help DAs address any issues they encounter while delivering, providing solutions and guidance to ensure they can successfully complete their routes.

Customer Service:

The trainer will help DAs learn how to interact with customers professionally and provide excellent service, which may include addressing customer inquiries, handling returns and resolving any issues.

Compliance:

The trainer will ensure that DAs follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, performance, and customer service.

Documentation:

The trainer will be required to document training sessions, performance evaluations, and any incidents that occur.

Communication:

The trainer will communicate with the DA’s supervisor and other relevant personnel to keep them informed about the DA’s progress and any issues that may arise.

Route Performance:

The trainer will coordinate with the Operations Manager and/or Operations Lead to identify and assist routes at risk (delivery completion, work hour compliance, etc.) to ensure route completion, delivery success, and mitigate any WHC concerns. End-of-Day (EOD) operations : RTS Lot (checking in vehicles and conducting post-trip inspections—including tire inspections, ensuring tires are at proper pressure levels, ensuring fluids such as DEF and washer fluid are at their proper levels, assisting with device/key returns, etc.)

Skills and Qualifications:
Experience:

Typically, a SOFL DA Trainer will need experience as a Delivery Associate or a similar role, as well as experience in training or coaching.

Communication Skills:

The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with DAs, supervisors, and other personnel is essential.

Problem-Solving Skills:

The ability to identify and resolve problems that may arise during the delivery process is important.

Safe-Driving Skills:

The ability to operate a vehicle safely and train on safe navigation maneuvers.

Leadership Skills:

The ability to mentor and guide new DAs is crucial for the trainer’s success.

Knowledge of Company Policies and Procedures:

A thorough understanding of company policies and procedures is necessary to ensure that all training and operations are compliant.
